The Altons are a soul rock group with a twist of Latin inspired flavors and rhythms. Their music is driven by intense grooves from the rhythm section that will bring you to your feet, while soulful leads inspire lovers to dance a little closer. Based in Los Angeles, members Gabriel Maldonado, Carlos Canovas, Bryan Ponce, Joseph Quinones, and Adriana Flores came together from disparate musical backgrounds to bring The Altons unified energetic sound to audiences everywhere.

When they take control of any stage you can always expect a fun and energetic time. From dirty blues guitar riffs to funky jams, these five musicians are sure to make the old and young crowd put on their dancing shoes. Years of experience let the band play off of each other’s chemistry assuring each night is a unique experience with the audience. Always expanding the doors for new fans while staying true to their hometown roots The Altons vivacious cumbias are a sure shot to get any crowd singing in English or Spanish.

With their ability to lively up any crowd The Altons have played Night on Broadway, Viva Pomona, Make Music Pasadena, and Echo Park Rising. However, they haven’t stopped at their Los Angeles border; The Altons have also performed at the grand opening for Cornerstone in Berkeley, the Beauty Bar in Las Vegas, as well as the Rebel Lounge in Phoenix. They have also shared stages with local Los Angeles artists Buyepongo, Thee Commons, and by way of Echo Park Rising Chicano Batman. Not one to rest on their laurels you can expect big things from The Altons, amongst those being the release of their double single Darling Girl/Last Call on 7-inch vinyl and their debut full-length album. 2017 is another sure shot year for this up-and-coming group.

“Aside from “Darling Girl” and its construction that offers graceful fluidity, and smooth grooves, there’s something positively genuine about this track it’s hard to put into words. It could be the scattered start, the refined amount of feeling, or Flores’ trusted vocals that find air above the melodic drive of the track. Or simply, it could be The Altons’ musical reaction with one another that create the heart of their recognizable “soul rock” sound. Regardless of what it is, “Darling Girl” becomes endearing every step of the way.”
